Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
By using FinDecode, you agree to these terms. Please read them: they explain what FinDecode is, and just as importantly, what it is not.
What FinDecode is
FinDecode is an AI-powered tool that reads an insurance document you upload and explains it in plain English, flagging sub-limits, exclusions, waiting periods, and clauses that may not comply with IRDAI regulations.
What FinDecode is not
FinDecode is not legal, financial, or insurance advice. It is an informational analysis tool. We surface facts and our best automated interpretation; decisions about buying, renewing, claiming, or disputing a policy are yours. For formal advice or disputes, consult a licensed advisor, a lawyer, or the Insurance Ombudsman.
Accuracy
We work hard to be precise and cite our sources, but AI analysis can contain errors and your document may be ambiguous or incomplete. Always verify against your original policy wording before acting. If our analysis contains a material factual error, contact us. See our refund note below.
Payments & refunds
- The full report is a one-time ₹149 charge per policy. No subscriptions.
- Payments are processed securely by Razorpay.
- If our analysis is materially wrong, we’ll refund that report. See our Refund Policy for exactly what’s covered and how to claim.
Eligibility & acceptable use
You must be 18 or olderto use FinDecode. Upload only documents you own or are authorised to analyse. Don’t use FinDecode to break the law, infringe rights, or attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy our analysis engine.
Our intellectual property
FinDecode’s analysis engine, methodology, scoring, and benchmark library are proprietary. Your report is yours to use; the system that produces it is ours.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, FinDecode is provided “as is” and we are not liable for decisions made based on a report. Your remedy for a faulty report is the refund described above, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for that report.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction.
